Detailed Information

The Kintala Club, founded by David Weston, is a renowned dog training organization based in Victoria. Specializing in positive reinforcement techniques, the club focuses on training and socializing puppies aged 8 to 14 weeks. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, admission for dogs over 14 weeks is currently closed until further notice. The club offers a comprehensive training program that covers all aspects of IDA, from basic to advanced levels.

At The Kintala Club, members have the opportunity to train their dogs in a class environment while emphasizing responsible dog ownership and understanding canine behavior. All instructors at the club are volunteers who undergo intensive government-accredited training, both practical and theoretical. The club promotes early socialization and training for puppies, encouraging positive reinforcement methods to show dogs what is expected of them and rewarding them accordingly.

As a non-profit organization, The Kintala Club requires its members to adhere to a code of conduct. Membership renewals are due annually, and the club holds an Annual General Meeting where members can nominate themselves to join the Kintala Club Committee. The club’s mission is to promote the socialization and training of dogs from a young age, fostering a community of responsible dog owners dedicated to positive reinforcement training methods.
