Southern Districts Kennel and Obedience Dog Club Inc. is a well-established all breeds club that originated from the Christies Beach branch of the German Shepherd Dog Club of SA in 1966. The club is entirely run by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about teaching dog owners the best practices in training their furry companions. Classes are held on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, with additional sessions available for dogs that have achieved their trained dog certificate and show training.
At Southern Districts Kennel and Obedience Dog Club, the focus is on training dogs to become well-mannered, happy, and accepted members of the family and the wider community. The club offers a range of events throughout the year, including obedience trials, agility trials, Rally trials, and a Championship Show. Training is ongoing, with new member classes conducted every Sunday and Wednesday, allowing dog owners to start training at any time between February and November.

Titles and certificates are awarded based on the dog’s successful qualification at each level, with opportunities for dogs and handlers to participate in fun agility classes or competitive Rally events.
