The RSPCA Mackay, part of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Queensland (RSPCA Qld), is a non-government, registered charity that has been dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals since opening its doors in Mackay on December 21, 2014. With a mission statement of “Together We Change Lives,” RSPCA Mackay is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in animal welfare.
RSPCA Qld relies on the generosity of the community to fund 96% of its vital work, caring for a wide range of animals, including domestic, farmed, and native species. The organization operates 10 Adoption Centres across Queensland, a Wildlife Hospital in Brisbane, and a Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Eumundi. Additionally, RSPCA cats are available for adoption at various Pet Barn locations, RSPCA Op Shops, and World for Pets stores throughout Queensland.
By supporting RSPCA Mackay through donations, volunteering, or adopting a furry friend, individuals can help change the lives of abused, abandoned, and injured animals in need. The organization’s dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to find safe and loving homes for all creatures great and small, embodying the spirit of “Together We Change Lives” in their daily efforts to make a difference in the lives of animals statewide.
