Riverina and District Animal Rescue Inc. is a dedicated group of volunteers based in the Riverina region of NSW and the ACT, committed to rescuing and rehoming companion animals since 2007. Our primary focus is on saving animals in the pound system, as well as those that have been abandoned or neglected. Each animal in our care is placed with a foster family, where they receive love and nurturing until the perfect forever home is found.
At RADAR Inc., we prioritize finding the most suitable home for each individual animal through a thorough application process. Microchipping services are also available to ensure quick reunification with lost pets and to comply with the NSW Companion Animal Act 1998. As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of the community and the dedication of our members to fund our rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming efforts.
Our logo features a local dog named Cooper-George, in memory of his owner Heidi Lewis, a passionate animal lover and RADAR supporter. The funds donated in Heidi’s memory have allowed RADAR to acquire an essential animal transport trailer, furthering our mission to provide a second chance to animals in need. Riverina and District Animal Rescue Inc. is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of animals and the community we serve.
