Welcome to Northern Obedience Dog Club, a non-profit volunteer-based local community dog club dedicated to promoting obedience training and understanding of dogs. Established in the early 1950s, we are proud to be the second oldest obedience club in Victoria, with over 600 paying members. Our club offers a range of training classes, including Puppy, Foundation, Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, and Class 4, conducted on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. We welcome handlers over the age of 10 years, with a focus on training dogs to be obedient and companionable in urban society.
At Northern Obedience Dog Club, we emphasize the importance of proper training for dogs of all ages. Our classes cater to puppies aged between 8 to 12 weeks, as well as older dogs starting from Foundation Class. We require all dogs to have valid Vaccination Certificates or a current Antibody Titre Test to ensure the safety of all participants. Our dedicated volunteers are committed to helping owners train their dogs effectively, with a progression system that promotes advancement to higher levels as skills improve.
