Neko HQ, operated by Maneki Neko Cat Rescue, is an ACNC registered not-for-profit animal welfare charity dedicated to improving the welfare of cats and kittens. Established in 2012, our mission is to reduce euthanasia rates, increase reclaiming and rehoming rates, and promote responsible pet ownership through initiatives such as finding loving homes for healthy de-sexed cats and kittens, promoting micro-chipping and de-sexing, and engaging with community volunteers.
Our focus is on working collaboratively with community groups, businesses, and local councils to rescue, rehabilitate (if required), and rehome cats and kittens in need. The Maneki Neko symbol, representing success, prosperity, good health, and happiness, inspires our organization to bring these qualities to our work and the felines we care for. Our team, led by Samantha and Carl, has a wealth of experience in cat rescue and veterinary care, ensuring that every cat in our care receives the love and attention they deserve.
At Neko HQ, you can browse our store where all proceeds go towards helping our cats, view available cats and kittens for adoption on Pet Rescue, and even temporarily care for a cat in your own home. We are also fundraising to establish the Companion Animal Crisis Centre, providing support for families and their furry companions during emergencies like bushfires.
