Hazelbrook Cat Shelter is a dedicated shelter that supports cat rescue groups in Sydney and the Blue Mountains. Our mission is to provide free shelter, medical treatment, rehabilitation, foster carers, and adopters to support Sydney cat rescue groups. We also conduct our own rescues, focusing on cats who have been victims of animal cruelty. Our passionate and cat-loving team believes in the importance of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and upholds a no-kill policy as the responsible approach.
Since our establishment in 2020, Hazelbrook Cat Shelter has successfully rescued, rehabilitated, and adopted approximately 200 cats. We rely on donations to cover our shelter’s monthly expenses and the medical needs of our rescued cats. Donors can contribute via bank transfer or card, and we offer engaging content on our Patreon platform, including photos, videos, blogging, and live streaming from the shelter. There are various ways for individuals to get involved, such as fundraising, feeding, playtime, administrative tasks, or joining our committee. We are always in need of volunteers to help care for the cats and support our operations.
Located within the Nauti Studios co-working building at 201 Great Western Highway, Hazelbrook, NSW, 2779, Australia, our shelter ensures that all cats are microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated before adoption. We have a thorough adoption process facilitated by our adoption counsellors to ensure the perfect match between cats and their new families. Additionally, we provide ongoing support and advice post-adoption. Those interested in becoming foster carers can rely on our support for covering medical and rehabilitation expenses while they provide love, food, and litter to the cats in their care.
