The Australian Animal Poisons Helpline is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing rapid, evidence-based poisoning advice to pet owners in Australia and New Zealand. Our team of experienced Poisons Information Consultants, who have backgrounds as senior emergency veterinarians or clinical pharmacists, offer specialist advice to help pet owners deal with poisoned animals. We aim to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with animal poisonings by providing free first-aid advice, risk assessment, and triage recommendations.
As a non-profit charity, the Animal Poisons Helpline relies on the generosity of pet owners who use our service. By supporting us, you enable us to continue helping poisoned animals and providing our free service to pet owners. Our helpline is available to all Australian and New Zealand pet owners, offering assistance from 9AM to 5PM AEST (9AM to 5PM AEDT during DST) seven days a week. For after-hours consultations, an on-call poisons specialist is available for a fee.
