SA Cat Rescue Inc (SACR) was established in 2019 by a passionate group of cat enthusiasts dedicated to rescuing stray, abandoned, and unwanted cats in the Adelaide metro area and Port Pirie region. As a not-for-profit organization, SACR operates through a network of foster carers and volunteers who provide a safe and loving environment for cats and kittens until they find their forever homes.
At SACR, all rescued cats and kittens receive comprehensive care, including desexing, vaccinations, microchipping, and necessary veterinary treatments. The organization focuses on preparing these animals for their new lives by offering a family home environment during their foster period, ensuring they are well-fed, pampered, and socialized for a smooth transition into their forever homes.
Committed to animal welfare, SACR follows a No Kill policy and works closely with registered veterinary surgeons to make compassionate decisions on a case-by-case basis. The organization also collaborates with RSPCA South Australia to care for neonatal orphan kittens. Led by a dedicated team with over 40 years of combined experience, SACR strives to make a positive impact by rescuing cats from street life and providing them with a chance to thrive in loving homes.
